These terms cover your use of the PetAtlas website. They're short on purpose, because right now this is a simple waitlist page, not a product.
By using this website, joining the waitlist, or making a contribution, you agree to what's below. If you don't agree, that's completely fine - please just don't use the site.
Who we are
This website is operated by Julia Elena Calimandruc, based in Spain ("PetAtlas", "we", "us").
What this website is
This is a pre-launch page for an app that is still being built.
PetAtlas does not exist yet as a product. Everything described on this site - the features, the screens, the app mockup in the header - represents what we intend to build. It is not a live service, and nothing here is a guarantee that any specific feature will exist in the final app, or that it will look the way it's shown.
The screen shown inside the phone on this page is an illustration of the concept, not the finished interface.
Joining the waitlist
Joining the waitlist means we'll email you when PetAtlas launches, and that you're registered as a founding member.
What being a founding member means: we intend to give early sign-ups a lifetime discount on any paid plans, early access before general release, and a say in what we build first.
What it doesn't mean: it's not a purchase, a subscription, a pre-order, or a binding contract. No money changes hands, and you're not buying anything. We'll do our best to honour these benefits, but their exact form may change as the product takes shape - and if the project doesn't launch, they can't apply.
You can leave the waitlist at any time by emailing us. No hard feelings.
To join, you need to be at least 16 years old and use an email address you actually control.
Donations
Contributions on this site are entirely voluntary. You never have to donate, and joining the waitlist without donating is completely welcome - it already helps.
Please read this part carefully:
A donation is a gift to support the project. It is not a purchase, and it doesn't buy you the app, a subscription, a feature, or a discount.
A donation gives you no ownership, equity, shares, or investment stake in PetAtlas or any company connected to it. It is not an investment and carries no financial return.
Donations are non-refundable, since nothing is being sold. If you donated by mistake, contact us and we'll do what we reasonably can.
Donations are used to help build PetAtlas - design, development, hosting, and the costs of getting it launched.
We cannot promise that the app will be completed or released. We fully intend to build it, but building things is uncertain, and you should donate only if you're comfortable with that.
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Revolut, and are also subject to their terms.
Using the site properly
Please don't:
submit someone else's email address without their permission
try to break, overload, hack, or interfere with the site
scrape or harvest data from it
use it for anything unlawful
We may block access if any of this happens.
Our content
The PetAtlas name, logo, text, design, illustrations and mockups on this site belong to us (or to the people we licensed them from). Please don't copy, republish or reuse them without asking first.
You're of course welcome - encouraged, actually - to share a link to this page with anyone who might like it.

Nothing on this website is veterinary, medical, or professional advice. PetAtlas is designed to help you organise information about your pet, never to replace a vet.
If something is wrong with your animal, please see a veterinarian.

This website is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't legally be limited. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes
We may update these terms as the project develops - especially once the app actually launches, at which point new terms will cover the app itself. The date at the top shows the last update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
